Sometimes it takes one boring phone call, adorned with trivialities about doctor's appointments and lack of news, to cage all the subtle winds blowing in one's precious Hope.

Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand. A true story of resilience and fate in the midst of WWII horrors. I am in awe at all the stories, of survivors and dead, but I also like the author's style very much. Dramatic, sensitive, bold.
Undefended Love, by Jett Psaris & Marlena S. Lyons. "...finding the courage to love without guarantees or requirements."
"Everything is susceptible..." by Derek Mahon
Vertigo, by Louise DeSalvo. A memoir that I adore for the structure which comes and goes like waves by the shore. I also relate to it in many personal ways, and I am in awe at the fluidity with which she explains her innermost feelings, part of an essence that up to now, I thought could not be told.
